MOAB for Thanksgiving

It was a non traditional Thanksgiving for us this year. We spent the day driving to one of our favorite destinations, cooked dinner and ate around 9 PM. It was great fun, the condo we stayed at had a hot tub and the kids were relentless about sitting, OK sitting is not the correct term, more like turning it into an all out water park. Lets just say we were able to enjoy using it as if we were the only people in the whole place, since everyone would quickly leave after our arrival. The weather was ugly for the first two days and the third it got really nice. We were able to enjoy some good Golf, and of course Mountain Biking. Tara, Grandpa TJ, Bret and Jen all got to ride Amasa Back while I took care of the kids, then it was time for Makenna to meet the slickrock trail. It was one of those trips we have been looking forward to for years, we wondered if Makenna was up for the challenge of Slickrock and she proved that she was. Even though I was being a paranoid dad and telling her to walk her bike on the scary stuff, she just took it like a pro and rode all the stuff that made me close me eyes and grit my teeth. She did great! All in all it was a great trip.

Disneyland 08

We took a Scott family trip to Disneyland back in Early September. Grandpa and Grandma Scott, Madison, Ashley, Jared-Carrie and Family, and our little family. It was a really great trip. My favorite part was having so many of my family members there. My least favorite part was driving all night to get there before the park opened. Makenna and Mason absolutely loved having their cousins to have fun with.

Our favorite rides:

Seth: Flyin over California

Tara: Splash Mountain

Makenna: California Screamin

Mason: Woody's Shootout (brand new ride)

We stopped in St. George on the way home and went to Les Mis at the Tuacon theater. It was a really great production, Makenna and Tara LOVED it. We were very lucky to have seats under the very small roof since it rained for nearly the entire play. It was the first play we have ever been to at Tuacon during bad weather. Even though the weather was bad we still really enjoyed it.

We can't wait to go back again!
